We love original live music but not the loud bars and travel that often entails. Instead, we move out the furniture and invite some of our favorite musicians to come play in our living room!
We create a talk-free, smoke-free listening room for professional touring musicians who love performing, and guests who appreciate live music. For each show we ask those attending to make a small donation to the “artist in residence.” All donations, 100 percent... go to the musicians for their efforts.
The genre of Olive Street House Concerts is loosely defined as acoustic, folk, alt-country, Americana and hybrid bluegrass. Sometimes we throw in a little jazz or blues. Each artist and show is unique, and everything you'll hear is amazing.
Concert evenings start with a social hour and wind down by 10 p.m. Great food and snacks are part of our events, so guests are encouraged to bring a favorite dish to share. And with every concert, guests get to meet and talk with the artists and have the opportunity to purchase their CDs.
Want to be on the invitatation list? All you have to do is ask. But reserve early because there's only 40 seats for every show. You've never really heard live music, until you experience a house concert!
